Microsoft out of Bernabeu talks

Head of Microsoft’s Spanish enterprise Maria Garana has distanced the company from talks with Real Madrid to rename the Santiago Bernabeu.

The American firm was confirmed by Garana recently as in preliminary negotiations for naming rights of the stadium, having been approached by Los Blancos.

However, AS report that the President of the Spanish sector of the company has now distanced the company from such a proposal.

AS quote Garana as explaining that whilst relations are ‘excellent’ between the company and Madrid, there is ‘no possibility’ of the Bernabeu’s name being changed, and that the two parties’ relations are ‘primarily in technology and innovation’.

Madrid have also been rumoured with talking to Emirates Airlines over naming rights for their ground.
