Valencia sack Braulio Vazquez

Valencia have taken action to rectify their situation on the pitch by sacking sporting director Braulio Vazquez.

Los Che were speculated in recent days as considering both Braulio and Coach Miroslav Djukic’s position at the club, on from a poor start to the season that has already yielded six defeats in La Liga.

With rumours suggesting that President Amadeo Salvo was keen to keep faith with the Serb, it is the sporting director who has exited.

“The board of directors has decided to dispense with the services of Braulio Vazquez as technical coordinator of the first team,” read Valencia’s statement released on Monday night.

“The board wishes to thank Braulio Vazquez for services rendered during his career at Valencia football club.”

Braulio has been with Valencia since 2009, initially serving under sporting director Fernando Gomez Colomer, before replacing him in 2010.
