Cristiano Ronaldo has hit back at Sepp Blatter after the FIFA President was quoted as admitting he ‘prefers’ Lionel Messi.
The game’s governing body chief told students at the Oxford Union that he would rather watch the Barcelona forward than his Real Madrid counterpart.
And the Portugal international has posted a comment on his Facebook page claiming that ‘much is explained now’.
“This video shows clearly the respect and consideration that FIFA has for me, for my club and my country,” the message stated.
“Much is explained now. I wish Mr. Blatter health and a long life, with the certainty that he will continue to witness, as he deserves, the successes of his favourite teams and players.”
