Tata Martino has left Gerard Pique out of the Barcelona squad to play Celta Vigo on Tuesday evening.
The Catalans head out to Balaidos for Week 11’s midweek round of action on Tuesday evening, before Friday hosting city rivals Espanyol at Camp Nou.
On from Saturday’s Clasico, Martino is expected to rotate a number of his players over the course of these fixtures.
Carles Puyol is now likely to be handed further minutes in the back-line on from recently returning from a seven-month lay-off, as centre-back colleague Pique has not made the 19-man squad for tomorrow’s game.
Training on Monday morning saw Martino able to work with everyone except for the injured Jonathan dos Santos, Jordi Alba and Ibrahim Afellay, but Pique has been rested on from playing in the weekend Clasico just days after suffering a mild hamstring strain against Milan.
