The Spanish Football Federation have commented on intentions to renew Vicente del Bosque’s contract as national team Coach ‘before the World Cup’.
The 62-year-old’s current deal with La Roja expires at the end of next summer’s competition, but the RFEF’s general secretary has this week confirmed talks are all but finalised on a two-year extension.
“We have already spoken with him and it is all pretty clear,” Jorge Perez has told Cadena Cope this week.
“I do not know when it will be signed, we have months ahead of us. We will get to the World Cup with it renewed.
“There is no rush to make it official. We’ll do it before the World Cup.”
