Ander Herrera has been dealt a blow with the news that he has suffered a hamstring injury whilst training with Athletic Bilbao.
The midfielder has been in and out of Ernesto Valverde’s team so far this season and now faces a lay-off having retired from training early in Friday’s session.
Athletic have reported that the 24-year-old has sustained a hamstring injury, but have not yet specified the severity of it or indeed the length of any recovery period likely.
