Man City starlet interesting Betis

Real Betis have joined a host of clubs interested in Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim.

The 22-year-old, born in Somalia but brought up in Norway, has represented his adoptive country at all youth levels and is currently plying his trade in the Norwegian Premier League on loan at Stromsgodset.

Sky Sports claims Los Beticos are running the rule over the player as his contract at the Etihad Stadium runs out next June, with City boss Manuel Pellegrini appearing to have discounted Ibrahim as he has a surplus of midfielders in his squad.

However, Betis boss Pepe Mel will face strong competition for his services, with Sevilla, Espanyol, Lille, Galatasaray, Bordeaux and Newcastle United are all reported to be tracking Ibrahim.
