Barcelona have named a strongest possible squad to face Real Valladolid, but speculation is that Adriano, Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta will be rested.
The trio are seen by Mundo Deportivo as the latest players identified by Coach Tata Martino as set to be benched when the team host Valladolid this Saturday.
Currently joint top of La Liga enjoying a record start to the season, the Catalans have so far notably had their stars rotated in and out of the team.
It is understood that with Adriano, Busquets and Iniesta seen as likely to sit out in Week 8, the likes of Martin Montoya, Alex Song, Sergi Roberto and Cristian Tello are all set for a look-in.
Martino, however, has named an 18-man squad including all the senior members of the squad available to him.
Lionel Messi, Javier Mascherano, Jordi Alba, Isaac Cuenca and Ibrahim Afellay are not included due to injury, whilst Carles Puyol is also absent having not yet received the medical all clear.
It is believed that in Messi’s continued absence this weekend, Cesc Fabregas will maintain the role as ‘false 9’ in Barca’s attack against Valladolid, just as Marc Bartra will continue at centre-back alongside Gerard Pique.
Barcelona squad to face Real Valladolid: Valdés, Pinto, Montoya, Piqué, Fàbregas, Xavi, Pedro, Iniesta, Alexis, Neymar, Dos Santos, Bartra, Sergio, Song, Tello, Adriano, Dani Alves, Sergi Roberto
