Real Madrid have reported that Gareth Bale is out of the squad for tonight’s Champions League match due to a ‘muscle contracture’ in his leg.
The Welshman was the notable absentee from Carlo Ancelotti’s squad named for Wednesday evening’s European fixture at home to Copenhagen.
Having missed training with a suspected muscle injury, the club have today reported that tests have confirmed the 24-year-old has picked up a contracture in his left thigh muscle.
In the brief statement, Madrid also report that Bale’s availability in upcoming games will depend on the evolution of the injury.
