Adil Rami is expected to return to training at Valencia next week, even as the club look to send him out on loan in January.
The French international has been handed a suspension from the club as an originally perceived initial punishment for hitting out at his teammates and Coach Miroslav Djukic on radio last week.
Whilst Los Che officials had met through last week with club lawyers to discuss further action and it is believed that Djukic does not want to include the player in first-team plans once more, the player is anticipated as set to return to training by next Monday.
This is believed as the result of a meeting between President Amadeo Salvo and Players’ Union (AFE) counterpart Luis Manuel Rubiales, which clarified that Rami is protected by Article 5 of the collective agreement signed between the AFE and Spanish Football League (LFP).
It is understood that the defender cannot be fined any further amount and that the action Valencia can take to further punish and sideline him from such things as turning up for training is limited.
The 27-year-old is seen as therefore likely to return to training next Monday in at least some capacity, once the maximum length of his current suspension of 10 days is served.
Rami’s representatives are believed to see Valencia’s actions so far as ‘excessive’, believing that he did not ‘commit injury’ and that his offence was therefore ‘not very serious’.
Los Che officials, on from the anticipated scenario with the defender, are reportedly working on shipping him out in the January transfer window on a loan deal, provided interested clubs will take on full payment of his salary.
Rami has been paired with a number of sides in Italy recently, including Inter, Napoli and today once more Roma.
