Isco ordered to pay former agents

Real Madrid playmaker Isco will have to pay €2.6m to his former agents, sports management firm IMG.

El Confidencial have reported that the Spanish youngster allegedly broke his contract with the firm and then ignored their request for talks.

Isco accepted that he had a contract until 2014, though the company has claimed that it ran to 2016. Isco’s father took over the player’s affairs after the break with IMG.

The attacker’s argument was that IMG got rid of their football department, which he thought allowed him to leave the firm.

However, IMG insist that his rights were moved to a new subsidiary branch of theirs called Eleven Sport.

The ruling can be appealed.
