Djukic already at risk?

Miroslav Djukic is reportedly playing for his Valencia future this weekend, after a poor start to the season.

Los Che play host to former Coach Unai Emery’s Sevilla on Sunday evening in crisis, having lost three of their first four League fixtures and compounded things with a 3-0 defeat at home to Swansea in the Europa League.

Reports are that, following on from protests from fans at Mestalla during and after Thursday evening’s defeat to Michael Laudrup’s side – aimed at the players more so than Djukic – the club’s board met for an hour.

It is believed that the meeting, headed by President Amadeo Salvo and with sporting director Braulio Vazquez present, concluded that the sporting situation does not have any more room for negotiation.

AS are one outlet that believe that Djukic, only brought in this summer from Real Valladolid, is playing for a result on Sunday to determine his future as Coach.

However, other reports are suggesting that the Serb will not have that long and that the club are already looking for a replacement, with Quique Sanchez Flores suggested.
