Real: ACL damage for Granero

Real Sociedad say that first examination of Esteban Granero’s knee injury points towards anterior cruciate ligament damage.

The former Real Madrid man, who is on loan at Anoeta this season from Queens Park Rangers, twisted his knee during the closing stages of Real’s 2-0 defeat at home to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night.

La Real have carried out an initial study of the joint, in his right leg, and reported through their official website suspicions of an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The 26-year-old will undergo further tests on Wednesday to establish the full extent of any damage done to the knee.
