Ronaldo signs Madrid extension

Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a contract extension at Real Madrid, ending speculation about his future with Los Blancos.

The Portuguese goalscorer had been linked with a moves to Manchester United and Monaco this summer, but the player has put those rumours to bed by penning a new deal.

Although details about the contract are yet to be released, reports in the Spanish Press claim that the 28-year-old will become the highest paid player in La Liga – earning €17m per season for the next five years.

A Press conference has been confirmed for 13.45 CET to announce the deal.
