Martin Montoya’s contract situation at Barcelona has taken a new twist, according to reports in the Spanish Press.
The youngster had been seen as non-transferable by the Camp Nou club this summer, despite offers from Inter, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
However, the defender’s deal ends next summer, and the Catalan side do not want to lose the player on a free.
As such, with the Masia graduate seemingly unwilling to pen an extension without the guarantee of playing time, Barca could be forced to accept reasonable offers in January.
