Marcelo has returned early to Real Madrid after injuring himself in Brazil’s friendly win over Australia.
The left-back was subbed off during the Selecao’s 6-0 win over the Aussies on Saturday afternoon, citing a thigh problem.
And the Brazilian football association have confirmed that the defender will not be involved in the game against Portugal on Tuesday, as he has gone back to the Spanish capital for treatment.
