Barcelona are reportedly setting their sights on Atletico Madrid’s on-loan goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to replace Victor Valdes.

The Catalans are in the market for a goalkeeper to come in next summer, when Valdes departs on reaching the end of his contract.

Marca believe that Barca have identified Courtois, who is into a third consecutive season on loan at Atleti from parent club Chelsea.

Whilst contracted at Stamford Bridge until June 2016, it is understood that Barca have already contacted those around the player about a possible move and received a positive response.

It is believed that the Camp Nou outfit’s interest is why Courtois is apparently stalling in reported contract renegotiations with Chelsea.

Tata Martino’s side are seen as having Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen as their other option to replace Valdes.
