Recent Rayo Vallecano signing Iago Falque will miss the next two months of the season after tearing a thigh muscle.
The 22-year-old Vigo-born winger joined the Madrid club on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur last week, yet suffered the injury after just five minutes of his debut in the 2-1 home loss to Levante on Friday.
According to the club’s official website, Falque was subjected to various tests over the weekend where the extent of the tear was diagnosed, and he is not expected to be back in action for Los Franjirrojos until at least the beginning of November.
