Ander Herrera is still open to a possible move to Manchester United, according to reports in the British Press.
The Guardian claim that the Athletic Bilbao midfielder is willing to sign for David Moyes’ side, but will not agitate for a transfer.
It means that the Premier League champions will have to pay the 24-year-old’s €36m buyout clause if they are to secure their target.
The Old Trafford side previously had a €30m bid rejected by Los Leones on Friday. A deal will have to be done quickly however, as the transfer window closes on Monday at 23.00 BST.
