Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement with Santos to have first option on three of their rising talents.
The Blaugrana, who this summer signed Neymar from the Brazilian outfit for €57m and host the team in this Friday’s Joan Gamper Trophy, reportedly have reached a further understanding.
Mundo Deportivo allege that they have gotten hold of a written agreement between Barca and Santos to ‘cross-promote youth development’ and to ‘exchange knowledge’.
The agreement was apparently signed in late May by President Sandro Rosell, Vice-President Josep Maria Bartomeu and Santos Vice-President Odilo Rodriguez.
It also apparently includes Barca agreeing to pay €7m for first options on three of Santos’ young stars, specifically Victor Andrade for €2.5m, Gabriel Barbosa Almeida, also known as Gabigol, for €2.3m and Giva, for €2.2m.
Gabigol and Giva are with the Santos squad in Barcelona for this week’s friendly, whilst the latter and Victor Andrade are out of contract next summer and so from January are free to negotiate with interested clubs anyway.
