Fabregas wants to leave Barca

Cesc Fabregas is reported today as having told friends that he wants to leave Barcelona and sign for Manchester United.

The English League champions have been vocal in their pursuit of the former Arsenal man this summer, with manager David Moyes confirming twice that offers had been made and commenting yesterday that negotiations remain ‘ongoing’.

Whilst Barca are seen as labelling the 26-year-old as ‘non-transferable’, reports in England this week have suggested that the player has been considering his future.

Today sees the Daily Mail allege that Fabregas has now made his mind up and that he has already informed friends based in English football of his desire to return to the Premier League this summer and join United.

It is believed that Fabregas is attracted predominantly by the promise of regular first team football and the prospect of being able to link up with former Arsenal teammate Robin van Persie.
