Real Madrid have signed Atletico Madrid’s highly rated centre-back Jorge Pulido on a free transfer.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move across the city for several months, on from indicating last autumn an unhappiness at a lack of first team football at the Vicente Calderon.
Whilst Madrid had an offer turned down in January for his signature, Pulido’s lack of game-time under Diego Simeone last term has seen him move across to Los Blancos.
Out of contract at Atleti, the player moves across on a free transfer.
Madrid have confirmed the news via a statement on their official website this week and will incorporate the defender in their Castilla side.
Newly promoted Elche were also linked this summer with Pulido, who has previous Primera Division experience through a loan spell in 2011-12 with Rayo Vallecano.
