Ronaldo ‘met with Monaco’

Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly met with Monaco’s Russian billionaire owner last week, to discuss a possible move next summer.

The Portuguese forward has been the subject of continued speculation for the past year and into this summer transfer window, amid rumours of stalled contract talks with Madrid.

On from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain’s believed interested, reports in France have now added Monaco into the equation.

Whilst the player was out on vacation and promotional duty in the principality last week, it is believed that the 28-year-old met with the Stade Louis II outfit’s owner, Dmitry Rybolovlev.

The billionaire reportedly took the opportunity, say Le10Sport to try and convince Ronaldo to sign with his team come next summer, when, should he not renew his deal with Los Blancos, he would be entering the final 12 months of his contract.

It is understood that Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, was also present at the encounter.
