Oriol Romeu will be presented as a Valencia player later today, as he is expected to complete formalities on a loan agreement.
The midfielder was seen earlier this week as on the verge of agreeing to a temporary switch to Mestalla for 2013-14, but initial plans to complete the deal were put on hold.
This was seen as due to Chelsea’s insistence that the 21-year-old would only be loaned out to Valencia if no purchase option was included in the deal.
Los Che are understood to have agreed to this term and are subsequently set to put the player through final medical tests ahead of completing his loan signing on Friday.
The club are expected to present the former Barcelona midfielder at Mestalla in the evening, before sending him out to Germany to join up with his new teammates in preseason.
Whilst there is no purchase option in place, Superdeporte understand that both Romeu and Valencia are currently keen that their relationship does not terminate completely come next June.
