Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has denied a deal has been struck for him to join Barcelona.
The Brazilian international has been consistently linked with a move to the Camp Nou over the past few months, with a report in Spain this week claiming an agreement with the Catalans has already been reached.
However, Thiago Silva moved to put the record straight with a statement issued through his agent, Paulo Tonietto, saying there has been no official negotiations with the Spanish giants and that he has not even met with their representatives.
Also, in an interview with calciomercato.it the player’s agent reiterated his client’s comments.
“I know nothing and it’s absolutely not true,” declared Tonietto.
Thiago Silva, currently on holiday after his exertions at the Confederations Cup, joined PSG from Milan last summer for €42m and is under contract for four more seasons at the Parc des Princes.
