Thiago Silva has told those close to him that he wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain and join Barcelona, claim Marca.
The Madrid-based newspaper believe that the Brazilian centre-back is desperate to move to the Blaugrana, with Dani Alves and Tito Vilanova both personally asking the defender to sign.
Silva would have, according to the paper, put pen-to-paper with the Camp Nou club last season, but already had a gentleman's agreement with PSG director Leonardo.
The 28-year-old feels he has honoured that now though, and wants to leave for Barca. The departure of Carlo Ancelotti to Real Madrid is also a factor in his thinking.
The French side's owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi has already claimed that Thiago Silva will not be sold.
