Atletico Madrid are reportedly trying to tie up negotiations for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo as soon as this week.
Los Colchoneros are understood to have already reached a provisional agreement with the striker for him to move across to the capital this summer, with it reported that he has even rejected late interest from Manchester City.
AS report that Atleti are keen to now close talks with Sevilla by the end of this week, in time for the start of preseason training.
However, where Sevilla value the player at €25m, Atletico are reportedly pushing for a total deal worth €20m.
It is also believed that there is a difference of opinion on possible players to be included to move in the opposite direction to lower the cash spend further.
Whilst Atletico are seen as pushing for Pizzi to go to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, the Andalucians are apparently more open on talking Leo Baptistao on loan, despite the capital club’s reported stance that the Brazilian will feature in the first team squad at the Calderon next term.
