Thiago Silva admits Vilanova chat

Thiago Silva has admitted he spoke to Tito Vilanova about a possible move to Barcelona from Paris Saint-Germain.

“Tito is an excellent Coach and a guy I admire. At the Champions League game between PSG and Barca we had a brief chat and he invited me to go and play for them,” revealed Thiago following Brazil’s Confederations Cup victory over Spain on Sunday.

The 28-year-old defender left Milan for PSG a year ago and has become one of Vilanova’s prime targets as he bids to strengthen his defence.

“There are no negotiations taking place. I am relaxed about things and just want to enjoy my holidays.

“In football you never know what will happen but I’m happy at PSG and speak to the President daily, so it would be very hard to leave there.

“It’s difficult, unlike last year when Milan wanted to sell me. Now PSG don’t want to sell me and it’s a very different situation.

“However, I hope everything is resolved as soon as possible to put an end to all the uncertainty,” he confessed.
