Real Betis have increased their offer for goalkeeper Guillermo Sara, who is currently with Argentine outfit Atletico Rafaela, to €750,000.
Betis boss Pepe Mel wants the 25-year-old as competition for recently-signed Danish international Stephan Andersen and would like Sara to link up with Los Beticos for the start of pre-season training.
According to Argentine newspaper Ole, the Andalusians have had one offer for the player rejected and have now gone back with an increased bid in the hope he will sign this week.
Sara is currently on holiday in Italy, where he is understood to be putting the finishing touches to his application for an Italian passport.
