United to offer De Gea new deal

Manchester United will offer David De Gea a contract extension this summer, in a bid to warn off advances from Barcelona.

The Blaugrana are said to be interested in bringing the 22-year-old to Camp Nou as the long-term successor to Victor Valdes.

However, the Premier League champions are hoping to tie down the young goalkeeper with a new deal.

Goal.com have claimed that David Moyes’ side will offer De Gea €88,000-a-week and an extension until 2018 – the Spain international currently earns €64,000-a-week on a deal until 2016.
