Carlo Ancelotti could be released from his Paris Saint-Germain contract later today and sign with Real Madrid by tomorrow.
The Italian has been pushing for an exit from the Parc des Princes since the end of last season amid Los Blancos’ reported desire to have him in as Jose Mourinho’s replacement.
PSG have held firm and refused to cancel the final year of Ancelotti’s contract, out of a believed desire to bring in a replacement beforehand.
Whilst that search has proven problematic, it is expected that a deal with Laurent Blanc will be formalised on Monday.
This is expected to see a similar agreement for Ancelotti’s release reached, paving the way for his move to Madrid to be confirmed shortly.
PSG are expected to receive €4.5m in compensation for Ancelotti’s release, either from the Coach himself or Madrid.
