Celta Vigo have completed the signing of young centre-back Andreu Fontas from Barcelona.
The 23-year-old had been linked with the Celestes earlier this week, with reports suggesting that the defender would join new Coach Luis Enrique at Balaidos. And the club have today confirmed that the Spain U-21 international has signed.
“I chose Celta because of the project,” he told reporters. “I like the way the team plays and the forward-thinking mentality of Luis Enrique.”
Fontas spent last season on loan at Mallorca.
