Ernesto Valverde has, as expected, officially been confirmed as the new Coach of Athletic Bilbao.
Los Leones' club website announced on Thursday evening that the 49-year-old has agreed to take charge of the San Mames side for next season.
Nothing has been released with regards to the length of contract Valverde has signed, but President Josu Urrutia will host a Press conference on Friday June 21 to confirm all details of the tactician's arrival.
The former Spain international was in charge of Valencia during the second half of last term, guiding Los Che to a fifth place finish.
