Rami: Valencia treat me like an object

Valencia defender Adil Rami has hit out at the club, insisting that Los Che need to keep hold of their best players.

The Mestalla side have been going through well-documented financial difficulties over the past few seasons, with David Villa, David Silva and Juan Mata all leaving for pastures new.

And the French defender, who has been linked with a move this summer, believes that this shouldn't be the case.

“I think I've shown a lot over the past two seasons,” he told Offside. “But the club treat me like an object to make money.

“It is not normal that the director of football should stop me in training and inform that they have received an offer from Anzhi and ask if I want to go.

“I do not want to see the best players leave at the end of every season.

“The team needs to be reinforced. Just look at how well Atletico Madrid have done.”
