Sevilla to sell Luna to Villa

Sevilla have reportedly agreed a deal to sell young full-back Antonio Luna to Premier League side Aston Villa.

Paul Lambert’s club are understood in Spain to have reached an agreement with the Andalucians to take their 22-year-old left-back this summer in a €2m deal.

With Alberto Moreno and Fernando Navarro ahead of him, Luna spent the second half of last season on loan at relegated Mallorca and was seen as likely to leave the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this summer.

Villa are understood to have agreed a €1.5m salary with the player to significantly boost his current earnings.

Luna will be the second player to leave Sevilla this summer and for the Premier League too, after Jesus Navas’ sale to Manchester City, whilst Luis Alberto is still the subject of negotiations with Liverpool.

Reports in some sections of the media have it that Liverpool have agreed a fee of €8m for the young forward.
