Monaco tempt Cristiano with mega-offer

According to soymadrista.com, Monaco are ready to tempt Cristiano Ronaldo with a €23m-a-season mega-offer.

The French club’s owner, Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev, is reported to be willing to stump up the cash – double what Ronaldo earns at Real Madrid – as well as conceding to the player any money earned from image rights, something Ronaldo shares with Madrid and which President Florentino Perez refuses to transfer to him.

Los Blancos are currently understood to be offering the Portuguese international around €14m-a-year in exchange for extending his contract until 2018, but his agent Jorge Mendes is believed to have informed him of Monaco’s proposal to sign for them this summer.

Not content with that, the Monaco owner has told Ronaldo that as his club will not participate in next season’s Champions League the former Manchester United man can use the free time to increase his portfolio of sponsors and increase his income from image rights.
