Radamel Falcao says he hopes to help Monaco to a place among the elite clubs of European football following his move from Atletico Madrid.
The Colombian hitman was speaking at a Press conference prior to his country’s 0-0 World Cup qualifying draw against Argentina in Buenos Aires on Friday, and insisted he is excited about his new adventure and is looking forward to linking up with compatriot and friend James Rodriguez.
“I’m happy with Monaco’s vote of confidence in me and have been seduced by a very interesting sporting project. We all want to install Monaco among the elite teams in Europe,” said El Tigre, who spoke about Rodriguez.
“There is a fantastic understanding between us, not only in football but also personally. He’s a great player and that’s why Monaco paid a lot of money.”
