Cristiano Ronaldo has denied rumours that he has already agreed on a contract extension with Real Madrid.
Recent reports had suggested that his renewal was already a ‘done deal’ , but the Portuguese international, speaking after his country’s 1-0 World Cup qualifier victory over Russia on Friday, refuted them.
“I have not spoken to anyone [at Madrid] but the important thing right now is the national team,” he told reporters.
Ronaldo was also asked about Jose Mourinho comments this week that the former Manchester United man does not accept criticism very well.
“Do you think I’m worried about that? I’m worried about the national team, which is the most important thing. The opinion of others, however…”he replied laughing.
