Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly rejected Carlo Ancelotti’s latest request to leave for Real Madrid, despite initial promise.
It was believed that the Italian Coach and his agent had reached a basic agreement with PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and sporting director Leonardo to be released from his contract to sign with Madrid.
A meeting yesterday between the parties was seen as arranged to only thrash out the smaller details to the arrangement.
However, reports are that Ancelotti has instead seen his latest request to leave again turned down, amid the French side’s ambition to appoint a successor beforehand.
So far PSG have struggled in their search and are believed to be pushing for Madrid to pay compensation of around €4m if they want to release Ancelotti sooner than that.
