Sevilla look to Deulofeu

Sevilla are reportedly keen to bring in Barcelona’s Gerard Deulofeu for next season as a replacement for Manchester City-bound Jesus Navas.

In light of losing their 27-year-old star winger to the Premier League runners-up this summer, the Andalucians are apparently making moves to pick up Barca’s young attacker.

Deulofeu, who has 18 goals to his name for Barcelona B in the Segunda Division this year, has recently signed a new deal at the Camp Nou.

Part of that deal apparently has the Catalans keen to boost his experience elsewhere on loan, in a top-flight team abroad or in La Liga that can also offer European football.

Sevilla, who may benefit from European bans to Malaga and Rayo Vallecano to sneak into the Europa League, are said to be preparing to make a move for the 19-year-old, who this summer is representing Spain at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Real Sociedad and Borussia Dortmund have also both been linked with Deulofeu for next season.
