Madrid, Juve plan Higuain summit

Real Madrid and Juventus are set to hold talks on June 9 over the transfer of Gonzalo Higuain to the Italian giants.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the clubs will take advantage of the Corazon Classic Match at the Santiago Bernabeu, a game played between Madrid and Juve legends, following Higuain’s declarations after the final match of the season that he wanted to quit Los Blancos.

However, the main sticking point to any move would appear to be the respective valuations placed upon the player, with Madrid asking €30m for the Argentine international and Juventus not prepared to go above the €22m they have already put on the table.

Juve’s main target is said to be Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic and Higuain is one of a several players the Serie A outfit have their eyes on for next season, including Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez and Sevilla hitman Alvaro Negredo.
