West Ham to sign Betis ‘keeper

West Ham United are poised to sign Real Betis goalkeeper Adrian San Miguel, according to AS.

It is understood that the 26-year-old, whose contract with Los Beticos runs out on June 30, has already travelled to London and will sign a three-year deal with the Premier League club.

Adrian is a product of hometown club Betis’ youth academy and spent his first five senior seasons with the reserves, four of those in Segunda B, and was promoted to the first team squad in 2011 as third choice whilst continuing to appear for the B team.

He made his La Liga debut last September in a 4-0 away defeat at Malaga, replacing outfield player Salvador Agra after goalkeeper Casto had been sent off in the early minutes.

It is believed Adrian’s contract with the London outfit is worth twice what Betis were prepared to offer.
