A report in AS claims that Manchester City have reached a private agreement with Sevilla winger Jesus Navas.
The Blues are set to offer the Spanish international a contract for the next four or five seasons and have stolen a march on both Real Madrid and Liverpool, the other interested clubs.
Sevilla are looking to ease the pressure of a €50m debt and the Premier League outfit will now have to negotiate a price for the 27-year-old with Los Rojiblancos’ President Jose Maria Del Nido, who will be looking for a fee of around €30m.
The agreement, maintains the report, is understood to have been reached at the express wish of Manuel Pellegrini, whose appointment at the Etihad Stadium is expected to be rubber-stamped once his present club Malaga end the La Liga season away to Barcelona on Saturday.
