Posting a picture of himself doing so on Twitter, Neymar put pen to paper on the Catalans’ five-year contract offer, which will now be ratified back in Spain.
“Here I close a wonderful passage with a special club,” Neymar wrote on his official account.
“Thanks for everything, for the praise, for everything and I will hold this moment close for all my life.”
Former Barcelona defender Edmilson was also present at the signing, alongside the player’s father and agent Neymar da Silva, futher representative Wagner Ribeiro, Barca director Raul Sanllehi and Santos lawyer Joao Vicente Gazolla.
Edmilson indicated that Neymar could be presented to the Spanish media as soon as Sunday, but the player requires permission to travel from Brazil Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.
