Vilanova: 100 points not a priority

Tito Vilanova has insisted that it is not a priority for Barcelona to get to 100 points by the end of the season.

The Bluagrana have already won the Liga title, following Real Madrid's draw with Espanyol last weekend.

But with three wins from their last three games, the Catalan club could reach the 100 point mark.

Vilanova though, has claimed that his side are not focused on that goal, whilst also commenting on Sunday's match against Real Valladolid and the Copa del Rey final.

“Valladolid have achieved the target they set at the start of the season,” he told a Press conference. “They are a great team.

“I hope that the fans come to the stadium in a party mood and we can show them the trophy that we have wanted so much.

“Winning the League was always a priority for us. To reach 100 points would be nice if we could get there, but our style of football is more important to us than a points total.

“We have led the table from day one. We are the team with the most goals in Europe. I think that proves that the cycle is not over.

“You can always improve, but you cannot constantly keep getting better. It is always difficult to regain motivation and succeed.

“I congratulate Atletico on their great season. We have the Supercopa to look forward to now.”

The Coach then commented on the rumours that Neymar will sign for the club.

“I do not know how the negotiations are going. I have known Neymar for two or three years. He is a good player, one that everyone would like in their team.”
