The head of an investment group that part owns Santos star Neymar says that ‘a lot will have to change’ to prevent the player joining Barcelona.
Delcir Sonda heads the investment group DIS that holds a 40 per cent share in Neymar, who this week is thought to be the subject of final negotiations on a transfer between Santos and Barca.
“The plan is to go to Barcelona because the contract is keeping him locked there,” commented Sonda to reporters this week, in reference to the alleged pre-contract agreement the Catalans have with Neymar.
“There would have to be a huge change and for Barcelona to hardly try at all for him to play anywhere else.
“Barca talking only to Santos and not us? They have to realise that we are in the frame with 40 per cent, and I have said this to Sandro Rosell twice.”
