Pellegrini free to leave Malaga?

A report in Spain has it that Manuel Pellegrini has an agreement in place with Malaga to leave at the end of the season, without paying his termination clause.

The Chilean, who is increasingly linked with replacing the now sacked Roberto Mancini at Manchester City for next season, reportedly has an agreement in place with Malaga that should he leave this summer, it will be for free.

Malaga-based outlet Diario Sur today suggest that the 59-year-old’s ‘pact’ with Malaga will allow him to leave without paying the €4m fee otherwise due to terminate his contract.

Despite having a further two years to run on his contract, it is understood that from June 30, Pellegrini will be free to sign with any club.

Whilst these terms for Pellegrini’s departure have apparently been reached in just the last few days, the Coach has reportedly yet to inform the club that he is definitely leaving in the summer.

Even so, it is believed to be just a matter of time before he does.
