The linesman that incorrectly ruled a Celta Vigo goal out on Sunday afternoon has reportedly been replaced for his next game.
Vicoriano Diaz Casado incorrectly adjudged Andres Tunez to have run into the penalty area to score for the Galicians from an offside position, when replays showed that he was a good five yards onside.
Reports today have it that the Spanish Football Federation’s Technical Committee of Referees have acted to remove him from his next game, which was due to be Valencia’s trip next Saturday to Getafe, and replace him with someone else.
Celta would have pulled the score back to 1-1 on Sunday afternoon, but they eventually lost 1-0 at the Benito Villamarin and are left in the relegation zone, three points adrift of safety.
