Gerard Pique gives Barcelona full marks for their League campaign, in a season that overall was ‘almost perfect’.
Barca were crowned League champions over the weekend thanks to Real Madrid’s failure from second place to defeat Espanyol on the Saturday night.
For La Blaugrana’s defender, his side’s run in first place from Week 1 through the season is worthy of full marks.
“We’ve had an exceptional league campaign – 10 out of 10,” enthused Pique after Sunday’s 2-1 win for the team at Atletico Madrid.
“The season, which was nearly perfect for us, saw us get very close to the Cup and Champions League finals. The team put in a brutal effort to get to the finals.
“I’m eager to celebrate this title. It’s been a difficult year, and now we have to celebrate. We’re the best team in La Liga.
“On Saturday night some of us gathered to celebrate. We have to celebrate, we need to enjoy this.”
