Xabi Alonso has claimed that Real Madrid are now focused on lifting the Copa del Rey trophy after losing their League title on Saturday.
Los Blancos drew with Espanyol yesterday to go seven points behind Barcelona with only two games left to play.
But the midfielder has admitted that the cup is now their only focus.
“The aim now is the cup and we have fight for the title that we have left to play for,” he told the club's official website.
“There are six days to prepare and that's what we are thinking about. We are very motivated, eager to play a great match and lift the trophy in our stadium, albeit on neutral soil.
“There is nothing more to be done apart from congratulate Barcelona. Our poor start has meant that we could not fight to the end.”
